Preparing today’s young learners to be tomorrow’s Christian leaders.
Mission and Vision
Mission: The mission of Zion Lutheran School is to guide students toward academic excellence and to prepare them to be Christian Leaders. This mission is rooted in the school’s dedication to fostering both the intellectual and spiritual growth of each student.
Vision: Zion Lutheran School envisions a nurturing school environment where each student thrives academically and spiritually. We aim to empower students to become compassionate, confident Christian leaders who positively influence their communities and the world, reflecting the love and teachings of Jesus Christ in their everyday lives.
Benefits of Lutheran Education
Lutheran education offers more than academic excellence—it’s a foundation for life rooted in faith, community, and purpose. At Zion Lutheran School, we believe that every child is a unique creation of God, and our approach to education reflects that. With Christ at the center of all we do, students grow not only in knowledge but also in wisdom, character, and spiritual maturity.
Lutheran schools like Zion are known for their commitment to strong academics integrated with Christian values. Our teachers are called to be role models of faith, compassion, and service, guiding students through both academic challenges and life’s everyday moments with grace and love. Students participate in daily devotions, weekly chapel services, and regular opportunities to serve others—instilling a deep sense of purpose and community.
Zion provides a safe, nurturing environment where the teachings of Jesus shape how we learn, play, resolve conflict, and treat one another. Through a balanced approach of Law and Gospel, we teach accountability and forgiveness, helping students develop responsibility and resilience alongside kindness and humility.
Ultimately, a Lutheran education prepares students not just for high school, but for a life of discipleship—living out their faith confidently in church, school, community, and beyond.

Family Involvement Opportunities
At Zion Lutheran School, we know that when families are involved, children succeed. Research and experience alike show that students whose families are engaged in their school life feel more supported, are more motivated, and perform better both academically and socially. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on family involvement—not just as a requirement, but as a vital part of our school culture and mission.
Each Zion family is asked to give 20 hours of volunteer service per school year, and we offer a wide variety of ways to get involved. Whether it’s helping in the lunchroom, chaperoning a field trip, organizing classroom parties, assisting with special events, or serving on a PTL committee—there’s something for every schedule and comfort level. Even small tasks like taking home a prep project, bringing in baked goods, or helping for 30 minutes at drop-off or pick-up can make a big difference.
Volunteering strengthens our Zion Family by building friendships, fostering trust, and showing our children that school matters. It creates a sense of ownership and pride in our shared community. At Zion, we work hand in hand—staff, students, and families—to support one another and grow together in faith and fellowship.
We have so much to offer!
